  1. 4 C's of Diamond - The Term Explanation One often comes across articles using the term the '4C's' where Tiffany Key Ring are concerned. The 4C's stand for: Cut, Carat, Clarity and Colour. It is most important, when purchasing your Tiffany 1837 Ring, that these parameters are specifically dealt with, with your supplier, as each will have an influence on the value and beauty of the diamond itself. Having said that I will endeavour to explain each one to you.

  2. The CUT is probably the most important 'C' of all as it will be picked up by the untrained human eye straight away in the worse of cases and can be picked up as well when Tiffany Signature are compared to one another. If a diamond is poorly cut it will sparkle less to begin with and may not show its full actual visual size to weight ratio either. This is often the case with diamonds marketed in the USA under terms as 'IDEAL' or 'Hearts & Arrows', which are well cut diamonds, but cut to a set of proportions that allow the visual size to be impaired when compared to a Tiffany Signature Collectioncut to another set of proportions.

  3. There are other specifications to do with the quality of cut which is the 'finish' and the 'symmetry' of the Tiffany Jewelry. The finish is basically the quality of polish of the facets and the 'symmetry' is the way they have been cut on the diamond, some facets can overlap others which will impair the symmetry, therefore. Next in importance is the COLOUR of the Tiffany Jewelry Store. Colours range from 'D' the whitest to 'Z' the most yellow along the colour spectrum range. The first 5 colours are within the 'white' range, the next three within the 'light tinted' range and from the 'L' down we have the 'tinted ranges'.

  4. It is a matter of personal preference, linked to one's budget that will determine the choice of colour of your Cheap Tiffany Jewelry, however, if you plan to have the diamond set in white metal it will not be wise to go below the 'K' colour, 'H' being the borderline for the eye not to perceive any 'tint' in the diamond. The Clarity really should come third in importance as long as it is not selected below the SI2. The clarity range goes from 'IF', internally flawless, through VVS1, VVS2, VS1, VS2, SI1, SI2, I1, I2 to I3. The 'V' stands for 'very' the 'S' for 'slight' and the 'I' for 'inclusion'. Diamonds below the SI2 will not be eye clean so the imperfection or flaw(s) can be seen with the naked eye, once within the I2 to I3 imperfection the refractive qualities of the diamond will be impaired as well. Imperfections can be coloured as well as kept to white and can be situated on the side or in the center of the diamond. This will influence the value of the Tiffany 1837 Circle Necklace as well.

  5. The last 'C' is the CARAT weight of the diamond always expressed in two decimal points after the carat, ie: 1.02ct or 0.25ct. The larger the Tiffany 1837 Concave Ring the more expensive it becomes so this parameter as well must be adapted to the budget and preferences on hand. Lastly there is a 5th 'C' which is not often mentioned, that of CONFIDENCE in your supplier as only they will be able to advise you correctly and we, at the Tiffany 1837 Cuff Links Web Shop, with our vast experience and our expert gemmologist will advise you accordingly.
