  1. FEE Card Mounting - Strategy and Problems

  2. IROC border problems A

  3. Tool 60 mm Tool Harwin-connectors service support cut A LV, cooling sealing bar Al-body HV-Box end-plate

  4. IROC border problems B

  5. ? cut B 38 mm 40 mm FEE mounting bar

  6. problem/to do list • check/optimize space constraints: SSW  FFE • test of connections under sheer forces (how much moves SSW relative to endplate under load?) • FEE mounting bars fixation, should be adjustable to compensate for SSW movement • convenient tools for closing/opening of HARWIN connectors • copper cooling plates should not cover connectors • ...

  7. 2-sector model • setting up 2-sectors (endplate, SSW) • one SSW fully equipped (cooling, LV, ...) • 2 endplate sectors fully equipped with ROC‘s • test/develop FEE fixation • develop mounting strategy + tools • status: • one endplate sector available, one endplate sector in production, • fully equipped SSW sector available (Rainer)

  8. time estimate • mounting cards (experience from ROC tests at GSI): • ~ 1 hrs to close all connectors (IROC, optimal conditions) • ~ 2-3 hrs for non-optimal conditions • insertion of FEE • insertion of flex cables • border FEE difficult • testing of connectivity after insertion • connect RCU, cooling (card-wise or row-wise ?) • 5 min/card (?)  3-4 hrs • total: 1 chamber/day/team (IROC, OROC ?)
