  6. In 19 century • In 1822, a dentist wrote a poem “A visit from Saint Nicholas” • Santa Claus was a small person like fairy. • He rid a sled and gave present to children

  7. In 19 century • But a cartoonist, Thomas Nast • described Santa Claus as an overweight person who lives near north pole.

  8. In 1920s Coke wanted to rise a sale of Coca Cola. They decided to reveal Santa Claus in their advertisement. They described Santa Claus as more familiar than before. Santa became a grandfather who looks warm-hearted. So Coke made Santa wear red clothes which is associated with Coca Cola.
