  3. Environmental Issues • PCB • Use of hazardous chemicals during production • Contains precious metals (Cu, Sn) • Get supply only from trusted manufacturers with proper care on manufacturing process • Recycle PCB to recover precious metals

  4. Environmental Issues • LCD • Emission of greenhouse gas nitrogen trifluoride (NF3) • “17,000 times stronger than that of carbon dioxide” • Extend product overall lifespan

  5. Environmental Issues • Li-poly battery • Contamination to environment if dumped improperly • List out potential effects of improper handling on user manual • Encourage recycling by providing the nearest center for recycling • http://www.call2recycle.org/
