  1. Is The Frozen Yogurt Franchise Thriving Nowadays? As far back as the 80’s, frozen yogurt franchises took the world by storm. The boom of the frozen yogurt machine franchise really helped popularize frozen yogurt across the country. But now, nearly 40 years into the future, is it as popular today as it once was? Let’s find out. It’s not hard to walk up a street and not come across a frozen yogurt store. Many frozen yogurt franchises have found great success in doing business. Companies like Menchie’s, TCBY, Red Mango, sweetFrog, Yogurtland, and many others have been on top of the list of major food companies. These franchises have been expanding rapidly with by opening various new locations across the country. The company Red Mango has nearly 200 locations in the US and 100 in Mexico and Central America. Red Mango has acquired its funds to expand its locations to over 500 locations in the future. You can branch frozen yogurt franchises into the following groups: Frozen Yogurt Cart These are small, low-cost frozen yogurt points and get a fair bit of traffic in commercial areas, but their offerings are usually slim. Outdoor Seating Location These locations have you seated outside with tables and umbrellas and are more popular in smaller towns. Indoor Location These locations are identical to fast food chains and small cafes where there are counters and small seating areas. Self-Serve These locations are where people can mix the yogurt themselves and pick their own toppings. It’s safe to say that the industry isn’t backing off of frozen yogurt in the next couple of years at the very least. More and more franchises are focusing on expanding their menus with more offerings. There’s more demand than ever for frozen yogurt especially with the increasing variety in flavors and toppings.
