  13. The Grant • Lump sum, no contribution to other costs • Depending always on host country rate • In Hungary: • students ≈ 280 EUR/month • teachers ≈ 420 EUR/month • Not compatible with other EU grants • Can be supplemented from CEU sources

  21. Hungarian Grants OTKA (National Scientific Research Fund) • Eligibility: the post-doctoral researcher has to be affiliated with a research institution in Hungary • 4 proposal types • 2 suitable for post-doctoral research: PD and NF

  22. OTKA PD grant • research support for post-doctoral researchers • to support young post-doctors (under 40 yrs, in SSH under 45 yrs, max. 8 years post the doctorate) • maximum duration: 3 years • maximum budget: HUF 5M (EUR 20.000)/year

  23. Eligible costs in OTKA PD Three possible categories: • personnel costs for the post-doctoral researcher (fixed, gross 260,000 HUF/960 EUR/ month) • research support (equipment, travel cost, conference participation, books, journals etc.) • personnel costs AND research support

  24. OTKA NF Grant • Support for research team building for internationally acknowledged young investigators • aims to support young post doctors (under 40 years, 2-10 years post the doctorate) • duration: max 4 years • minimum budget: HUF 6-10 M (EUR 25.000-42.000)/ year • Eligible costs
