  1. All Experimenters’ Meeting October 01, 2012

  2. Shutdown 2012 Machine Status: All machines off until the beginning of November 2012 TeV & Muon Rings – Partially available for tours with approval and appropriate training Site is currently being powered from Kautz Road SubStation. Master SubStation will be back this month!

  3. Power Outages • Master SubStation • Monday, October 22nd @ 0700-0730 • Take Master SubStationoff KautzRoad SubStationbackfeedand reconnect to transmission line 11120. • Impacts – Most of site except Main Injector and Village. • Kautz Road SubStation • Monday, October 29th @ 0700-0730 • Put jumpers on 14419 • Impacts – Main Injector. • Feeder 40 (AD Linac & Cross Gallery) • Saturday, November 3rd @ 0700-1630 • Perform maintenance on Feeder 40 • Impacts – Linac, Cross Gallery, MCR, & AD Computer Room. • No Controls System from Friday, November 2nd @ 1700 until Monday, November 5th @ 1200

  4. Cooling & Power Outage • Feeder 44 (Wilson Hall) • Sunday, November 4th @ 0700-1630 • Perform maintenance on Feeder 44 • Impacts – Wilson Hall, WH5NW, WH8E (Fiber Central), LHC ROC (Remote Operations Center) will not have network • Generator Power – Telecommunications Equipment Room, Communications Center & ROC • “Ask a Scientist” moved to CDF • CUB Cooling (Wilson Hall & AD Areas) • Sunday, November 4th @ 0700-1700 • Install electrical barrier in 4160 cabinet • Motors and pumps will be shut down • Impacts – Wilson Hall, MCR, Mac Room, Cross Gallery, Booster Tower and Galleries, AD Computer Room, and all Accelerator cooling systems • Spot Coolers – Telecommunications, Communications Center, Mac Room, & MCR

  5. Shutdown 2012 Power Curtailment • One hour test occurred on Wednesday, September 12th • We stayed below our 25MW level • Our readings show us at 19.5MW for the duration of the test • Haven’t heard any feedback from Energy Curtailment Specialists (ECS)
