Population in Europe • There are over five hundred million inhabitants. • It’s the highest population density in the world ( 80 people /km2) • Most people live in Central and Western Europe. 75/% live in cities. • The natural population growth is very low. • The birth rate and death rate are low. • It’s an ageing population because the birth and death rate are low and the average life expectancy is about eighty years. • The actual population growth is positive because is one of the main destinations for immigrants.
