  2. Simple Future Tense There are two forms to express future tense: Will + simple form of the verb - I will see her at five. Be + going to + simple form of the verb: - Keila is going to sign up for ESL next week.

  3. We can use the simple future tense : When we predict a future event or situation: - I think that the white car will win the race. When we make decisions at the time of speaking: - What time do you want to meet tomorrow morning? - I’ll meet you at ten.

  4. Adverbs that used in future tense: - Tomorrow - In a few days - In two weeks - In a few minutes - The day after tomorrow - Two days later - Next Sunday - In the future

  5. Yes/No Questions - Move the “will” to the front of the subject. Aff.: - Ryan will teach History next semester. Int.: - Will Ryan teach History next semester?

  6. Question Form of Future Tense: aux.verb subject main verb Object time Will you visit me tomorrow ?

  7. Short Answers - Will you visit me tomorrow? Possible answers: Yes, I will. No, I will not. (won’t)

  8. Wh-Questions When will Victor travel to Manaus? Possible answer: He will travel to Manaus next month. Where will Victor travel next month to? Possible answer: He will travel to Manaus.

  9. Negatives - Add not between will and the verb: Affirmative: Victor will travel to Manaus next month. Negative: Victor will not travel to Manaus next month. or: Victor won’t travel to Manaus next month.
