Policy measures funding pilot plants are important to cover the gap between technoloy development and commercialization SMEs are important for the deployment of KETs but often too small to make a difference: they must operate in sinergy with large companies Making smart choices on research themes to support: integration of local,national and european strategies. A focus on particular KETs can well aligned to the concept of smart specialization strategies Rethink a funding strategy
