  1. Questions to Ask Before Hiring a Plumbing Contractor Plumbing issues are very common and every other household is facing it. Whether it is leaking pipes, faucets or clogged drains? Plumbers are so much in demand. I agree that it is a situation of panic when a plumbing issue arises and you just want a plumber to quickly fix it any cost. But it is not the correct way. So just take a chill pill! Before you hire a plumber many questions must be in your mind. So this is the very first thing that you have to do. Ask the plumber whether he/she is licensed? How does he/she charge? Do they provide a warranty for their work? Just sit and read this article to find out the topmost questions that you must ask the local plumbing contractors before you hire him! Are you licensed? A plumbing license is proof that he is liable and qualified to do any plumbing job. A plumber needs to have a license. If a plumber has a license you can sit back and be stress-free as being licensed means that he is skilled and knows his job pretty well. You will not have to worry about anything. Whereas an unlicensed plumber often doesn’t have a team or organization to report back to, so if they take advantage of a customer and charge extra, there’s no one for the customer to negotiate with later on about the services done. Are all Costs Covered in Estimation? Many of the plumbers try to nickel, dime and overcharge when it comes to giving an estimate. In such a situation sometimes even the experienced and licensed plumbers try to take advantage of the situation. They will give you an estimate over the phone but not in writing. When they will finally come to check out the whole situation, they will hike the estimate. So, Always Make Sure to Ask Whether all the Costs are Included in the Estimate. How to Make the Payment? Most of the time the local plumbing contractors will ask for payments in installments if the task in long while your sewerage pipeline changed or cleaned as it may require a week almost. Whereas if the task is small like removes clogs and changing faucets, you can pay once the job is done. Will I Get a Warranty? Before starting any plumbing project, be sure to ask your contractor if they offer warranties. Warranties are often time-based, like a year, five years, or a ten-year warranty. Depending on the project, there are even some lifetime warranties, should a part fail or need replacement. Warranties can be a godsend when something goes wrong shortly after the completion of the project. With a warranty, you can protect your latest plumbing investment. Do you clean up your Mess? No doubt plumbing is a messy job and you will find a huge mess around your home, once the job is done. So, ask and clarify from the plumber before he starts the project whether he will clean the mess? Most of the plumbers charge extra for this work. Cleanup also includes dumping of the trash brought by the plumber for the plumbing process. 6520 Platt Ave. 522, West Hills, CA, 91307 Call: (818) 880-8847 Email: info@greensplumbingco.com
