MEANING

  • Use the frequency adverbs (FA) to talk about how often someone does something.

  • Frequency adverbs (FA) can be a word that expresses frequency or an adverbial phrase.


Location of frequency adverbs
LOCATION OF FREQUENCY ADVERBS

  • Place FA before the verb

  • + Verb + complement

  • Place FA after the verb

  •  + Verb + +complement

  • Placed either at the beginning or at the end of the sentence


Frequency adverbs before verbs verb complement
FREQUENCY ADVERBS BEFORE VERBS + Verb + Complement

  • Place FA before the verb

  • + Verb + complement

    • Siempre Always

    • Rara vez  rarely

    • Nunca  Never

  • Example

    • Yosiemprehablo español

  • Place FA after the verb

  •  + Verb + +complement

    • Mucho  a lot

    • Poco  little

  • Example

    *You also can change this for: los meses, los años, los veranos, etc.
