  2. Goals for The Class of 2017 • Unwavering Focus on Student Learning • Graduation With The Option of Attending a Great College • Challenge, Encourage, and Support • Know We Care About Them

  3. What Classes Will My Child Take? • English - Regents or Honors • Social Studies - Global 9 or AP Prep. • Math – Algebra or Geometry • Biology • PE • Health • LOTE • Elective(s) - A recent addition! • AIS Literacy – For some students

  4. The Schedule • Block One: 7:40 – 9:05 Class • Block Two: 9:09 – 10:29 Class • Block Three: 10:33 – 11:05 Lunch One • Block Four: 11:09 – 11:53 Class • Block Five: 11:57 – 12:29 Lunch Two • Block Six: 12:33 – 1:53 Class • Block Seven: 1:58 – 2:40 Study Block

  5. Academy Expectations - PBIS • Be Ready To Learn • Be Respectful • Be Trustworthy • Be Responsible • Be Caring

  6. Beyond The School Day • Clubs and Activities: Sign up at the beginning of the year • Intramurals: Three Mornings a Week at 7:15 • Sports:Modified A, Freshmen, JV and Varsity • Remember Summer Physicals for Fall Sports! • Special Events:Student Council Will Organize Several Throughout the Year.

  7. Summer Assignments • English Reading Projects • AP World History • Students will get information about these in June.

  8. Just around the corner... • “Mixer” on May 10th (7-9 pm) • Orientation: August 29th(SAVE THE DATE!) • Schedules Mailed Home Late in August or Pick Up at Orientation • Parent Connect Information Mailed Home in September
