FY’13-14 Title IX Sexual Assault Prevention Strategy Roadmap for Saint Mary’s College This strategy roadmap is designed to assist Saint Mary’s College in meeting the spirit and intent of our obligations under Title IX Sexual Assault Prevention Review Current Policies and Procedures (Completed) Recommend Structure for Title IX (Completed) Dissemination & Communication Plan (In Progress) Develop Title IX Sexual Assault Training Strategy (In Progress) Accountability Measures and Metrics (TBD) • Identify campus wide accountability measures • Engage the Cabinet to cascade Title IX strategy and engage staff members in discussion • Schedule frequent evaluation meetings to assess progress and identify areas for improvement • Identify critical measures for success • (Title IX Coordinator and Committee) • Build on Title IX progress to date (SMC perceived as best in class by many colleges) • Review / modify policies and procedures • Consultant will review web site and other campus communication mechanisms • Consultant will audit campus bulletin boards and other information areas • Consultant will assess policies from a student, staff and faculty perspective • (Title IX Consultant) • Consultant identified optimal Title IX structure • Ensure structure complies with Title IX regulations • Ensure Title IX Officer and Deputies are identified • Ensure Title IX Officers, Deputies and first responders are provided initial training • (Title IX Consultant & Committee) • Consultant developed dissemination & communication plan • Leverage existing SMC communication mechanisms • Engage focus groups of students, staff and faculty to solicit input • Development of Title IX website • Present recommendations to Title IX Committee and Cabinet • (Title IX Committee) • Consultant will develop training materials for first responders and complainants • Will develop training around reporting instructions and procedures • Develop and deliver training programs for students, faculty, staff, Athletics, Public safety and RA’s • Title IX Sexual Assault investigator training • (Title IX Deputy and Title IX Committee) September, 2014 Saint Mary’s College “Confidential”
