O V E R V I E W • Disaster Management System • System to protect the lives & property of citizens from disaster • Disaster : • Caused by nature : hurricane, flood, drought, earthquake • Caused by human factors : radiation accident, ocean pollution, shipwreck • Disaster Management Regulations • Basic Law of Civil Defense : Takes priority over all laws other than military related laws

  14. Hijacking of Civilian Aircraft • Re-dispatch airborne assets • Confirm/Transmit hostage situation • Ready Emergency-Air Defense assets • Increase air surveillance/evacuate aircraft • Prepare passenger evacuation & safety measures

Terror at Storage Facilities for Chem /Poisons Gas • Contain the contaminated area / dispatch chem units • Block in-and out flow of arms • Dispatch counter-terror unit to terror site • Reinforce inspection by military/police • Take additional measures against terror • Enhance all-service alert
