The sessions empower communities with cultural practices, legal and political know-how, and opportunities for relationship building. Empowering Hawaiians, Strengthening Hawai'i • OHAs ADVOCACY: GWU Internship Program • OHA DC Bureau is spearheading partnership discussions with the George Washington University • OHA’s goal is to create an OHA-GWU internship program for Native Hawaiians • Interns would be placed in key Executive Branch and Congressional offices, as well as OHA DC • Program would serve OHA’s educational and economic goals, while preparing future generations of leaders `ĀINA The Hawaiian Homes Commission & OHA BOT Joint Meeting Presented: Tuesday, October 9, 2012
