  2. Endangered Animal • For my endangered animal I picked the Giant Panda. • They live in a few mountain ranges in central China. They used to live in lowland areas but deforestation has forced them to the mountains. • Pandas mostly eat bamboo and grass. • There are only about 1,600 pandas in the wild.

  3. Enemies of the Giant Panda • The giant panda has some enemies like the Asian gold cat, leopards and wolves. • There are of course poachers who hunt down these animals. • Pandas are also susceptible to many, diseases which can prove fatal.

  4. How pandas affect their environment • Pandas don’t affect their environment much, asides from eating bamboo and of course a food chain which includes their young getting eaten by leopards and other animals. But, this isn't a good thing because they're endangered.

  5. What is being done to protect them / Increasing their numbers • There are a lot of things being done to protect pandas like stopping poachers from hunting them some people are planting more bamboo for the pandas to eat because it makes up about 95 % of their diet and there's not that much left. There are some Zoos where they are trying to breed them to raise their numbers

  6. How they are becoming extinct • Pandas are becoming extinct due to poachers who hunt them for their uniquely colored coats. lack of food Is another reason and their predators aren't helping their numbers much either.
