  2. Savanna location The Savanna is located is the middle and southern parts of Africa. (as you can see on the map below) The savannas occu- py 2.5 square kilom eters about 1 quar- ter the size of cana- da.

  3. Savanna Climate • The savanna climate is a wet/dry climate which means that the tropical climate is in the summer which is the wet part and the dry part is ironically in the winter. The temperatures are 68-78 degrees farenheight in the winter and in the summer the temps are 76-86 degrees farenheight. The temperatures rarely ever change.

  4. Savanna foliage and plants • The most common vegetation the Savanna is the Acacia tree. This tree can grow to 20 meters tall and it has large thorns and 8 inch pea pods on them. This tree is gives the animals a huge part of their diets.

  5. Savanna Animals • There are a variety of animals in the Savanna, some of them include, lions, giraffes, hippos, ostriches, zebras, rhinos, and African monkeys.
