  5. ISG Format • Lecture series: Leaders, innovators, politicians, activists and entrepreneurs • Field work: specialized excursions, hands-on experiences, one major trip abroad • Action Projects: examples include habitat restoration, waste reduction, agriculture, energy conservation

  6. Design in Grade 11 Semester 1 Semester 2 Morning: English 11, Elective 11 Afternoon: Media Arts 11, BC First Nations 11 • Morning: Math 11, Elective 11 • Afternoon: Global Perspectives 11, Earth Science 11

  8. Details • ISG takes place in a regular secondary school in the afternoons • 60 senior level students (Gr 11 and 12) • 4 teachers • Accessible to all students • $700 fee (waived for hardship) for field trips, conferences, guest instructors, transportation, action project costs
