  2. What is an Emergency Doctor? An emergency doctor is a physician that gives immediate care to any patient that might come into the Emergency Department. They are expected to give appropriate care to a diverse set of people, whether they are kids, adults, seniors and also whether they have an acute condition or if they are just concerned something might be wrong.

  3. Salary An emergency doctor generally gets an above average salary In Canada, an emergency physician would get a salary of $60 402-$202 575 Depending on where in Canada you are working, how often you work, and if working overtime or on holidays etc.

  4. Job Prospects Generally, being an emerg. Doctor offers job security because there are many hospitals that are short staffed and could always use a few more workers. There are hospitals almost anywhere you go, so it is easier to move around and feel confident you will be able to get a job

  5. Perks and Benefits When you leave your job, it’s done (don’t have to work at home) Get to help people directly You get the opportunity to save lives There are no “benefits” (ex. Free dental care) on the contract for being an emergency doctor in Canada.

Emergency doctors are not allowed to reveal any patients they treated names or information to ANYONE There are different parts of the emergency department like triage, acute care, and fast track Once you are any type of worker in medicine, you are always learning because new medicines, technologies, and treatments are constantly coming out.
