  4. The food chain. A prairie dog’s typical meal is grass or a greenery. They bite close to the ground so they don’t get pricked. Coyotes and hawks eat prairie dogs.

  5. Interesting facts They only live in North America. A coterie or colony is a group of prairie dogs. They are highly sociable. One prairie dog coterie in Texas had about 400,000,000.
