  6. PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES • Minimize stress • Build confidence • Maximize comprehensible input from the beginning through • Listening • Reading of Authentic materials • Start a content-based program from beginning • Maximize exposure to natural language usage from earliest stage

PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES • Reduce previous academic-conditioning by: • - Building ability to deal with over-the-head materials • - Bypassing English through direct connections between Indonesian and multisensory image • 8. Provide a broad view of Indonesian grammar • 9. To build a base for much more complex and sophisticated language input later in the course
