The Project • FSO and Coyote have established a new initiative called the FSODE • Family Service Ontario Data Exchange • The mandate for the project is to develop a set of meaningful data, that could be rolled up and then reported on. Eventually it will and measure types of services, demographics, and outcome measures and provide value to the FSO, their Agency partners, and Ministries and other funders. Feb. 8, 2012 John Ellis

Purpose of FSODE • Lobbying • Ministry of Health • Ministry of Community and Social Services • Ministry of Children and Youth Services • Ministry of the Attorney General • United Way • Other affiliated organizations • Information Purposes • Support Data for FSO strategies and actions • Identify unique attributes of each member

Approach • Multiple Phases • Minimal Impact on daily operation within agencies • Phase 1 • Data to support lobbying with Ministries • ICF • CaseWORKS clients with upload • Non-CaseWORKS file import • Phase 2 • Other Ministries • Expanded Data captured • (outcomes, assessments, etc.) • Additional Programs (i.e. VAW, credit counselling, etc.) • Web Portal for non-CaseWORKS users • Determine what else the “funders” require

  6. ICF Definition • Individual, couple, family counselling – includes: therapeutic counselling to an individual, couple or other members of a client’s family, credit/financial counselling, EAP counselling, VAW counselling, PAR, newcomer/settlement counselling.

  7. How it Works • CaseWORKS Clients • Data to Central Database • Privacy, Confidentiality, and Security • De-identified (statistical rollup) • Hosted by Coyote on secure server • https with login and audit tracking • Non CaseWORKS clients • Submit a form monthly
