  1. Hair Extensions Before and Aftercare Advice Stacey – Tel: 07814839761 To maximise the life of your Hair Extensions, please follow these simple guidelines: Before your Fitting: You must wash your hair the night before with shampoo only, NO CONDITIONER to be used on hair prior to fitting. Double shampoo your hair to ensure it is clean. If you need to dye your hair, this must be done 4-7 days prior to fitting. Aftercare & Maintenance for your Hair Extensions: It is strongly advised that you don’t wash your hair for at least 48 hours after having your hair extensions. You may find after having your hair extensions fitted, they feel uncomfortable when sleeping, this usually disappears after a few days. Some clients experience itching to the scalp, this is normal. Please try to wash your hair a maximum of twice a week If possible. Always use a shampoo and conditioner recommended for hair extensions only. When washing your extensions shampoo from root to tip paying special attention to the roots to ensure they are clean. DO NOT put conditioner on the roots, conditioner should be used from half way down to tip. Remember to always take good care of your hair.Hair extensions last longer and look better when taken proper care of. It is best to use a hair extension brush, this is because normal brushes with balls on the end can rip and break the hair.Try to brush your hair everyday but not more than once as this will cause unnecessary shedding. You will often see hairs coming off on your brush or when you wash your hair, this is perfectly normal. It is advisable to do your hair into a loose plait when sleeping, this will minimise tangling and knotting when you sleep. You can style your hair extensions just as you would with your normal hair, you can straighten, curl, blow-dry, dye, crimp and cut them just as you would your own hair. It is very importance to keep your maintenance appointments up to date, to ensure your hair extensions are at their best, and to stop any matting. If you leave your maintenance appointment too long and your hair becomes matted, Be Beauty-ful can not be held responsible. Please return to your hair extensionist for removal to prevent any damage being done to your own hair. After having your hair extensions fitted, you may lose up to 10 strands. Please keep hold of any strands these will be re-fitted at your next maintenance appointment. If you see any of your own hairs coming out after having your extensions fitted, don’t panic! These are due to the natural daily shedding of your hair, but you will notice it more because you have had extensions fitted.
