  2. What to Bring • Bring fully charged digital cameras, sd cards and film cameras if so desired • Wear comfortable walking shoes • Bring a sack lunch (there are no food establishments close by)

  3. Orange Line • Federal Center SW station. Exit the station, walk north (left) along Third Street SW for two blocks, cross Independence Avenue, and continue one more block to Maryland Ave. Look toward the Capitol and you will see the glass dome of the Conservatory. the Conservatory entrance is on Maryland Avenue.

  4. Guidelines • Please have your students stay on the paths at all times. This is true in our Conservatory and while visiting our outdoor gardens. • Please stagger your visits to the restrooms to avoid overcrowding. • We have plants from around the world in our collection. We are a living collection. Please remind your students to: • Enjoy the plants with their eyes and to not touch the plants or objects on display

  5. Photographers and their equipment must not impede access and must stay on pathways at all times. • Walking in planted areas beds, behind planting beds or placing equipment in beds is prohibited. • The use of flash equipment and other special photo lighting devices or other bulky accessory equipment is not permitted. • Plants may not be moved, cut, rearranged or handled in anyway. Flow of visitors along walkways must not be impeded. • Photographers are asked to be aware that narrow pathways and intersections may become bottlenecks during periods of increased visitation.-
