  4. Good Motives • Search for solution to problems – Ecclesiastes 1:2,14; 2:17; 3:19; 12:8 “all is vanity” • Love for Truth – Luke 10:38-41 – Learn & Obey

  5. Wrong Type of Hearers • In the one ear and out the other hearer – Matthew 13:19 • Religious spree hearer – Matthew 13:20,21 • Worldly minded hearer – Matthew 13:22; 6:24

  6. Wrong Type of Hearers • Loss of memory hearers – James 1:22-26; 4:17 • Closed Ear hearers – Acts 7:57 • Itching Ear hearers – 2 Timothy 4:3,4

  7. RIGHT KIND OF HEARERS • Discerning hearers – Mark 4:24; Matthew 7:15,16; 1 John 4:1 • Candid hearers – Acts 17:11 • Reverent hearers – Nehemiah 8:5; 1 Thessalonians 2:13
