Gartner fa sapere che entro il 2013 i terminali mobili con browser e connettività Internet integrata sorpasseranno in unità i PC (1,82 contro 1,78 miliardi) come dispositivo per accedere al Web • IDC (International Data Corporation) ha pubblicato i dati del mercato mondiale del settore smartphone, relative all'anno 2011. Secondo quanto pubblicato il mercato subirà un incremento del 49,2% nelle vendite. La percentuale sopra riportata, se tradotta in numeri ed unità, indica che circa 450 milionidi nuovi smartphone saranno venduti entro la fine del 2011 (rispetto ai 303,4 milionidel 2010). • Secondo Pyramid Research, nel periodo 2010-2014 verranno venduti 1,8 miliardi di smartphone
