  • The metric system is based on the number 10

  • So it’s EASY TO USE!!!!


Metric Prefixes

  • Kilo-(as in kilometer or kilogram)

  • Hecto-

  • Deka-

  • Deci-

  • Centi-(as in centimeter)

  • Milli-(as in millimeter)


What do they mean???

  • Deka-10
