  3. Whole Hearted Service Not Always Rendered: • Some have not prepared their hearts. • Rehoboam. 2 Chronicles 12:1;2 Chronicles 12:14 • Solomon. 1 Kings 11:4 • Abijam. 1 Kings 15:3 • Kingdom of Judah. Jeremiah 3:10

  4. Some Have Given Whole Hearted Service: • Daniel. Daniel 1:8 • Ezra. Ezra 7:10 • David. Psalms 119:10

  5. Whole Hearted Service Needed Because: • God looks upon the heart. 1 Samuel 16:7; cf. Mark 12:41-44 • God knows what is in the heart. Luke 16:15, cf. 13ff; Hebrews 4:12; Matthew 15:18 • God tries our hearts. Proverbs 17:3; cf. 1 Chronicles 28:9; 1 Chronicles 29:17; Jeremiah 11:20
