  1. I will cry out to God… Wonder at His Power Psalm 8

  2. Psalm 8:1-4 O Lord, our Lord, How excellent is Your name in all the earth, Who have set Your glory above the heavens! Out of the mouth of babes and nursing infants You have ordained strength, Because of Your enemies, That You may silence the enemy and the avenger. When I consider Your heavens, the work of Your fingers, The moon and the stars, which You have ordained, What is man that You are mindful of him,And the son of man that You visit him?

  3. The Praise O Lord, our Lord, How excellent is Your name in all the earth, Who have set Your glory above the heavens! Psalm 8:1

  4. The Praise • Mankind should know that God is viewing His mighty works. The heavens declare the glory of God; And the firmament shows His handiwork. – Psalm 19:1 • His handiwork declares His Glory

  5. The Reason • Children • Day unto day utters speech, And night unto night reveals knowledge. – Psalm 8:2 • But Jesus said, " Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of heaven.” - Matthew 19:14

  6. The Reason • Nature When I consider Your heavens, the work of Your fingers, The moon and the stars, which You have ordained. – Psalm 8:3

  7. The Reason • Nature • God’s wisdom, glory, and power are seen in nature. For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse, - Romans 1:20

  8. The Reason • Nature • God’s wisdom, glory, and power are seen in nature. • The heavens declare the glory of God; And the firmament shows His handiwork. – Psalm 19:1 • Some marvel at great artists and pay little attention to God’s handiwork.

  9. The Reason • Man What is man that You are mindful of him, And the son of man that You visit him? For You have made him a little lower than the angels, And You have crowned him with glory and honor. You have made him to have dominion over the works of Your hands; You have put all things under his feet,

  10. The Reason • Man All sheep and oxen —Even the beasts of the field, The birds of the air, And the fish of the sea That pass through the paths of the seas - Psalm 8:4-8

  11. The Reason • Man • After creating all things – He created man Then God said, "Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.“ - Genesis 1:26

  12. The Reason • Man • Man is to enjoy and use those things created for him (v.6-8).

  13. The Reason • Man • God was concerned and interested in Adam and Eve Then the Lord God took the man and put him in the garden of Eden to tend and keep it. - Genesis 2:15 And the Lord God said, " It is not good that man should be alone; I will make him a helper comparable to him.” - Genesis 2:18

  14. The Reason • Man • God was concerned and interested in Adam and Eve And Adam said:" This is now bone of my bones And flesh of my flesh; She shall be called Woman, Because she was taken out of Man. "Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and they shall become one flesh. – Genesis 2:23-24

  15. The Reason • Man • He is still interested in mankind. The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance. - 2 Peter 3:9

  16. The Reason • Man • He is still interested in mankind. And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask anything in My name, I will do it. – John 14:13-14

  17. The Reason • Man • He is still interested in mankind. If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you. – John 15:7 • John 1:1-14

  18. Praise O Lord, our Lord, How excellent is Your name in all the earth! – Psalm 8:9
