  4. Highlights since last meeting • Drafts of final deliverables for all WPs refined. • Provide objective measurement of the success and usefulness of training activities. • Provide information on impact of the journals publishing INFOBIOMED articles. • New versions of the SoA deliverables should explicitly identify gaps and propose lines of action. • Deliverable review procedures initiated. • Several dissemination activities, including initial organisation of the International Symposium in Jun’07. This has been a cross-project event (INFOBIOMED, SEMANTIC MINING, ACGT, EURESIST, LOCCANDIA, HEALTHAGENTS, @NEURIST). • Completion of pilot applications, some work on evaluation.

  5. Review of deliverables • Formal peer-review procedure • Partners have been assigned to deliverables: • D25: FORTH, UAVR, HHUD, IMIM • D26: UPM, ISCIII, CUSTODIX, UAVR, HHUD, IMIM, FORTH (int) • D28: HNPCC, ACTA, INFORMA, HHUD, FIMIM • D29: UEDIN, AZ, HHUD, FIMIM • D30: FUNEN, ERASMUS, ULEICS, HHUD, IMIM

  6. Review of deliverables • D30 has suffered from delay derived from inputs from pilot applications. • This is the main official report of the work done by the pilots. • It’s where all technical and scientific details must be included (progress reports only offer summarised versions). • Pilot 6.2 has reported a comprehensive view. • More details are missing from 6.1, 6.3 and 6.4. • Please accelerate the production of the reports and send them urgently to ISCIII. Reports must be comprehensive. • The review procedure might be anyway initiated with the current D30 version (v4).

  7. Deliverable list

  8. Final reports • We will need to deliver: • Technical and financial reports for the last period (last 1,5 years). • Remember to answer any requests for clarification issued by the EC in relation with the 2nd year financial reporting. • Final reports: • Final plan for using and disseminating knowledge • Final management report • Final report on the distribution of EC contribution • Final science and society questionnaire • Final report on implementation of gender action plan • Final questionnaire on workforce statistics • Final socio-economic questionnaire • WE WILL NEED YOUR INPUT!

  9. Final messages • Immediate focus will be now on: • Completion of work as needed • Formal review process for deliverables, second rounds • Final reporting • Prepare for the final review • Therefore, during this meeting: • Work undertaken and final results obtained by each WP have to be clear. • Work yet to be done have to be pinpointed. • Extra work that was associated with contingency money granted has to be highlighted.

  10. Final messages

  11. Final review • We must urgently decide on dates: • 23 + 24 Sep • 27 + 28 Sep • An attempt will be made to allow as many partners as possible to attend the final review. • From last review: • “The pilots have progressed, although it is not fully clear the degree of fulfilment of the expectations at this point and the likelihood of a successful completion. Pilots are a key achievement meant to demonstrate the usefulness of the BMI approach to specific real-life cases.” • “The other components of the Training Programme are very interesting, although they require an assessment of their acceptance and usefulness (brokerage, BMI courses database...)” • “New versions of the 'living' SoA deliverables should explicitly identify gaps and propose lines of action.” • “Re-organise budget to ensure that essential tasks (mainly linked to pilots) do have sufficient budget.” • “Provide information on impact of the journals publishing INFOBIOMED articles.”
