  14. Enthusiastic Church – Praying Let us look more closely at this prayer "Sovereign Lord," they said, "you made the heaven and the earth and the sea, and everything in them.” Acts 4:24 In the light of the rulers’ threats they acknowledge God as sovereign

  15. Enthusiastic Church – Praying 25You spoke by the Holy Spirit through the mouth of your servant, our father David:    " 'Why do the nations rage       and the peoples plot in vain?  26The kings of the earth take their stand       and the rulers gather together       against the Lord       and against his Anointed One.

  16. Enthusiastic Church – Praying 27Indeed Herod and Pontius Pilate met together with the Gentiles and the people of Israel in this city to conspire against your holy servant Jesus, whom you anointed. 28They did what your power and will had decided beforehand should happen. God, the sovereign king, turned evil to his saving ends

  17. Enthusiastic Church – Praying 29Now, Lord, consider their threats and enable your servants to speak your word with great boldness. 30Stretch out your hand to heal and perform miraculous signs and wonders through the name of your holy servant Jesus."

  18. Enthusiastic Church – Praying 30Stretch out your hand to heal and perform miraculous signs and wonders through the name of your holy servant Jesus." Not by the power of people bring glory to the name of Jesus not to believers give them opportunities to share the good news of salvation

  19. Enthusiastic Church – Praying 29Now, Lord, consider their threats and enable your servants to speak your word with great boldness. 1. 21. Enthusiastic Church – Praying “Enable your servants to speak with great boldness” 2 We need courage to live the Xn life - to live as citizens of God’s kingdom and not of the world - to forgive those who hurt us - to minister and to lead

  22. Enthusiastic Church – Praying “Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go." Joshua 1:9

  23. Enthusiastic Church – Praying “Enable your servants to speak with great boldness” Acts 4:29 3. Speak with boldness when… - we feel the threat of ridicule from the guys at work - we feel the threat of rejection when we think of talking about our faith with the persons we have been praying for.

  24. Enthusiastic Church – Praying “Enable your servants to speak with great boldness” Acts 4:29 3. Speak with boldness when… - we feel the threat of looking stupid when welcoming people in our church
