  6. FirstCall™ System • Reverse 9-1-1 System – in use throughout the country • Groups built based on needs • Can be built for schools, departments, entities or any other subdivision • Possible solution to rapid on-campus notifications (“shelter in place” messages)

  7. UTMB Essential Staff YOUR “GO-BAG” --- What to bring • Bedding (sleeping bag, air mattress…) • Comfortable, Appropriate Clothing • Toiletries, Rx & OTC Meds • Cell Phone & Charger, Electronics w/headset ! • Snacks, Special Diet Items • Reading Material, Puzzles, etc.

  8. UTMB Essential Staff What not to bring • Ice Chests, Large Containers • Alcohol • Firearms, Ammunition • Large Quantities of Food • Perishable Foodstuffs • “Pot Luck” Dinners

PERSONAL EMERGENCY PLANNon-Es and Dependents Elements: • Know what disasters can affect you; when you should shelter in place or evacuate. • Prepare homes in advance: window coverings, outside furniture, etc. • Identify a safe place in your home to take shelter. • Know your evacuation route, and establish check-in points; discuss final destination.

PERSONAL EMERGENCY PLAN Elements: • Assemble documents and valuables in containers that will be ready to grab and go. • Prepare support supplies: Water, food, change of clothing, Rx meds, pet food, personal hygiene supplies. • Exchange cell phone numbers. • Enroll via 2-1-1 if you need assistance. Practice Your Plan !
