  2. Today we will be learning to: • read and write, in figures and words, numbers to at least 10 000 • recognise what each digit represents • partition numbers into Th, H, T, U.

  19. Make two more four-digit numbers with a 5 in them. Say the numbers. Say what the value of the 5 is each time.

  20. Make a four-digit number with a 5 in it but no hundreds. How do you say this number?

  21. Make a four-digit number with a 5 in it. The number has to be the closest it can be to 5000.

  22. Your task: Have you ever played ‘Spin to Win’ on Primary Games Volume 1? In pairs, we’re going to play ‘spin to win’ on paper! Your aim is to get the highest number.

  23. In pairs, children have Th, H,T,U and roll a 9 or 6 sided dice, they decide where to place the number (in Th, H, T or U column), their partner then does the same. The aim is to produce the highest number. Spin to win instructions
