Green Capital Challenges • Topic: • The role of cities in environmental protection • Moderator: Mr. Willy De Backer, Head of the Greening Europe Forum, Friends of Europe • Speakers: • - Karl Falkenberg, Director General, DG Environment, European Commission • - Veronica Cremasco, Deputy from the Ecolo Party at the Walloon Parliament and French Community • - Dr. Benno Hain, Head of the Coordinating Center for Climate Issues of the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg • - André Bouffioux, CEO Siemens Belgium

Green Capital Challenges • Agenda/Format • 17h45 - 18h10: • Registration and welcome drinks for all guests at Le Méridien • 18h15 – 18h20: • Welcoming of panelists from the moderator, followed by a few words on the Train and the sponsor, Siemens. • First question from the moderator on the possibilities and limits of cities in the sustainable development. • 18h20 – 18h50: • First round of discussion from the panelists – presentation between 5-7 minutes

Green Capital Challenges • 18h50 - 18h55: • Moderator asks a second round of questions on concrete examples of sustainable actions • 18h55-19h20: • Second round of discussion from the panelists (5-7 minutes each) • 19h20: Q&A with the audience • 19h30: • Moderator sums up, thanks panelists and leads over to buffet • 19h35 – 20h00: • Reception and Belgian buffet, open end
