  6. Your first job is important. It forms the basis for future opportunities. Performing well the first time provides a sound basis and good references that will help in acquiring future positions. DO NOT BURN YOUR BRIDGES!

  8. INTERVIEW TIPS • REVIEW TIPS on Preparing for a Successful Interview in textbook. Wear conservative clothing, Preferably a suit. • Remember red is a power color. Choose colors that complement your coloring.

  9. Shoes must be neat and clean. • Avoid extreme make-up and nail polish. The CDC has mandated a ban on acrylic nails in all health care facilities. • Hair – clean, styled. Nails – clean, trimmed. • Short haircut and minimal facial hair. • Minimal jewelry. • Use a firm handshake!

  10. Arrive at least 5 minutes early. • When seeking employment, your personal portfolio will be necessary with: Copy of your CPR certification Copy of your TB certification Copy of immunization record Copy of college transcript Copy of LPN license Copy of photo ID Copy of Social Security card

  11. A COMPLETED APPLICATION AND RESUME WILL BE KEPT ON FILE • A COPY OF LIABILITY INSURANCE
