Yes in the student enquiry, see here for details • Do students keep their laptop when they leave school ? If a student completes year 12 then yes, if they leave prior to this the laptop should be recovered as part of the local leavers process. • Do students keep their laptop when they change schools ? If a Year 9 student moves from one government school to another then yes, the laptop is taken with them and will automagically move in RMU as the ERN is maintained. Where a student is leaving the DET NSW then the laptop must be recovered. • Who recovers the laptop ? The TSO is responsible for managing laptops

ERN Term 3 / 4 2009 Update ERN and Support Class Admin • Completed so far : • Step 1 – Allow the flagging of Funding Support/Integration • Step2 – Statewide Enquiry and Reporting for Support Class enrolments • Step3 – Split the support classes into their sub-types (15,000 students moved, without any SAO/SAM work into the precise SCAS group) • Step4 – Allow the ‘region’ to place students into support registration offers • From 45% placement accuracy 18 months ago to over 90% • Reduction in thousands of SAS registrations • Data managed by the business owners

ERN Term 3 / 4 2009 Update ERN and SBSR • SBSR data relies on SAS data • No duplicate data entry • When you add a student to a Primary roll class they are automagically ‘readied’ for SBSR • In High Schools adding students to ‘course groups’ readies the student for SBSR • Work with your SBSR co-ordinator • Plan ahead – don’t wait until the last minute (especially in Term 4)

ERN Term 3 / 4 2009 Update Performance – Term 4 Cometh • We are constantly working on performance • ERN Available when Portal is down • Term 3 will see the new ‘lite’ enquiry options • We have made dozens of improvements over the last term • There is an intermittent log off issue we are working on • We are investigating tools to allow us to measure the ‘end user’ experience and better understand where it can be improved • IE7 is much faster than IE6
