What is PhAMLI? • Pharmacy Alliance for Mentorship, Leadership, and Information • Affiliated with the American Pharmacists Association (APhA) at UCSF • Mentorship program pairs undergraduates with a student mentor from UCSF School of Pharmacy (SOP) • Provides opportunity to experience pharmacy school and explore pharmacy as a career

Why should you apply? • One-on-one contact with UCSF SOP students • Get advice on: • Pharmacy school • Career options in pharmacy • Pre-pharmacy preparations • Gain insights into life as a pharmacy student • Opportunities to attend UCSF SOP classes and events • Network and meet other pre-pharmacy and pharmacy students!

  4. 2012-2013 PhAMLI Events • Kick-off Picnic • Saturday, October 27, 2012 • Mentor Shadowing • January - March 2013 • Spring Luncheon & Awards Ceremony • April 2013

  5. School of Pharmacy Events Mentees are encouraged to attend 1 SOP event • Health Fairs • Lunch Talks and Seminars • Red Dress Fashion Show • Mr. Pharmacy Competition • Patient Counseling Competition • APhA Conferences • And many more! • Refer to phamli.weebly.com for more information!

  6. Certificate of Completion • Awarded to individuals who have attended all of the following events: • Kick-off Picnic • Shadow your mentor OR one UCSF SOP Event • Spring Luncheon & Awards Ceremony

  7. Application Process • Application at http://phamli.weebly.com • Contact information • Matching questions • Priority given to 3rd and 4th year students • Accepted Mentees will be contacted in October • PhAMLI Membership $25 • Fee pays for the kick-off picnic, spring luncheon, and t-shirt

  8. First week of October: • PhAMLI to send e-mail about application • Mid-October: Acceptance of Applicants • Mentee’s deadline to accept and RSVP for Kick-off Picnic • Saturday, October 27th at 12 pm: Kick-off Picnic • Mandatory event • $25 PhAMLI membership fee due Timeline and Due Dates
