  4. A Closer Look • I interviewed Chris Riley from the Cato campus at CPCC. • His current role is that of Registrar at the Cato campus. • He told me that the Cato Campus was named from Mr. Cato, fashion designer and clothing store franchise owner based in the local Charlotte area. He also said that this campus is the second largest in CPCC. • Chris works in the Admissions/Registration Department. • He said the mission of this office is the same as the mission of the school. The main focus is to provide “high quality services which are academically, and geographically accessible”. • His office targets any person that, “walks through the door, however the majority of the students are local to section of Charlotte referred to as “the University area”. • He stated that the most prevalent needs of the students he works with are making sure they are properly registered, their academic files are up to date, that their in/out of state status is completed and that FERPA laws are followed in regards to the information that is shared.
