  1. SCHEDULE Create a New Section Click on the Notes tab for captions!

  2. Type in SSASECT in the Go To… box. Hit Enter.

  3. Basic Schedule Information (SSASECT) 1. Type in term or use drop down arrow to select term. 2. Select List of Terms.

  4. Term Code Validation 1. Select appropriate term. 2. Click OK.

  5. Basic Schedule Information (SSASECT) 1. Click Create CRN icon.

  6. Basic Schedule Information (SSASECT) 1. Type in subject or click drop down arrow to select subject. 2. Select View Existing Courses. 3. Select a course and click OK.

  7. Basic Schedule Information (SSASECT) 1. Type in course number or click drop down arrow to select course number. 2. Type in section or click drop down arrow to execute query for next available section.

  8. Section query 1. Click Execute Query. Query caused no records to be retrieved. Re-enter. 2. Note Whisper Line. A 2a. Exit forms and begin numbering this section as 001 or… Record 1 of XXX. B B 2b. Note the last section number, exit forms, enter section number as determined.

  9. Basic Schedule Information (SSASECT) DO NOT use cross list field at this point. 1. Type in Campus code or click drop down arrow to select Campus. 2. Select Campus. 3. Click OK.

  10. Basic Schedule Information (SSASECT) 1. Click Status drop down arrow, select A - Active. 2. Click Schedule Type drop down arrow and select the only option displayed. 3. Click Instructional Method drop down arrow, select as applicable.

  11. Basic Schedule Information (SSASECT) 1. Click Integration Partner drop down arrow. 2. Double-click on BB.

  12. Basic Schedule Information (SSASECT) DO NOT enter a Grade Mode. DO NOT enter Session. If Special Approval is required, click drop down arrow to select SA – Special Approval. DO NOT enter Duration.

  13. Basic Schedule Information (SSASECT) 1. Click Part of Term drop down arrow. 2. Select as applicable. 3. Click OK.

  14. Basic Schedule Information (SSASECT) • DO NOT enter: • Registration Dates, • Start Dates, • Maximum Extension. • DO NOT change: • Prerequisite Check Method.

  15. Basic Schedule Information (SSASECT) • 1. DO NOT change anything on the right side of the page. • Exceptions: • change Credit Hours IF variable credit course is to have fixed credit hours. • uncheck Gradable IF course to be scheduled is a zero-credit lab that has “N—Non-Gradable” grade mode

  16. Basic Schedule Information (SSASECT) 1. Click Save. 2. Click to Section Enrollment Information tab.

  17. Section Enrollment Information 1. Enter maximum number of students allowed to be enrolled. 2. Enter maximum number of students allowed to be waitlisted. 3. Leave all the other fields blank.

  18. Section Enrollment Information 1. Click Save. 1. Click Save. 2. Click to Meeting Times and Instructor tab.

  19. Standard Meeting Time Click Meeting Time drop down arrow if section will have standard meeting time.

  20. Meeting Time Code Validation Table • Select the pattern you wish to assign to the section by double-clicking in the Code field of the appropriate line.

  21. Non-Standard Meeting Time 1. Click Start and End Date Icons to choose section start and end dates. 2. Select days of week by clicking in box. 3. Type start and end time using military format then type 01 in Session Indicator field. 4. Click to Meeting Locations and Credits tab.

  22. Non-Standard Meeting Time 1. Tab 3 times then click drop down under Schedule Type and select the only choice. 2. Click Save.

  23. Assigning a TBA Meeting Time 2. Click Save. 1. Without clicking anything else, hit Enter 3 times. 3. Click to Meeting Locations and Credits tab.

  24. Assigning a TBA Meeting Time 2. Click save. 1. Enter 0 in the Hours per Week field.

  25. Assigning Instructor 3. Click ID drop down arrow. 2. Click in ID field.

  26. Faculty/Advisor Query 3. Click Execute Query. 1. Click Next Block. 2. Enter any available information on Last Name. Use wildcards if necessary (%,_). Search is case sensitive!

  27. Faculty/Advisor Query 1. Double-click on the ID of the faculty member you wish to assign to the section.

  28. Assigning a Non-University Classroom 1. Click Save. 2. Click to Meeting Locations and Credits sub-tab.

  29. Assigning a Non-University Classroom 3. Exit form. 2. Click Save. University classrooms will be scheduled through Schedule 25. 1. For NON-University classrooms or TBA assignment, type in Building and Room or search for them by using the drop down arrows.

  30. SCHEDULE Honors Section

  31. Type in SSASECT in the Go To… box. Hit Enter.

  32. Basic Section Information (SSASECT) 3. Click save. 1. Click Next Block. 4. Exit form. 2. Type (HON) at the end of the title already in the field. 30 character maximum. You may abbreviate the title already in the field to allow for (HON) at the end.

  33. Type in SSADETL in the Go To… box. Hit Enter.

  34. Schedule Detail (SSADETL) form 2. Click Next Block. 1. Type in appropriate Term and CRN unless information is accurate.

  35. Schedule Detail (SSADETL) form Click to Degree Program Attributes tab.

  36. Assigning Honors Attribute 1. Note: AHON should already be assigned. Click in the next available row and click on the drop down arrow. 2. Select HONR. 3. Click OK.

  37. Schedule Detail (SSADETL) form 2. Exit form. 1. Click Save.

  38. Section Restrictions (SSARRES) Type in SSARRES in the Go To… box. Hit Enter.

  39. Section Restrictions (SSARRES) 1. Click next Block then click to Student Attribute and Cohort tab. 2. Click on Attribute drop down. 3. Choose HONR. 4. Click OK.

  40. Section Restrictions (SSARRES) 1. Click Save. 2. Exit form.

  41. SCHEDULE Embedded Study Abroad

  42. Type in SSADETL in the Go To… box. Hit Enter.

  43. Section Detail (SSADETL) form 2. Click Next Block. 1. Type in appropriate Term and CRN unless information is accurate.

  44. Section Detail Form (SSADETL) Click to Degree Program Attributes tab.

  45. Section Detail Form (SSADETL) 1. Click Attribute drop down arrow to select attribute. 2. Choose Embedded Study Abroad and click OK.

  46. Section Detail Form (SSADETL) 2. Click save. 3. Exit form. 1. Note Embedded Study Abroad Attribute has been added.
