  • The Technology Advisory Committee (TAC) has approved the promotion of iblog as the consistent means of on-line communication with parents and community members in the district.

  • The use of i-blog is very user friendly. Parents, guardians, community members and students can easily sign-up for the automated e-newsletter feature, which will provide them with an automated email.

  • This is the main form of communication in the DuVall school community.

  • We have a school level blog, PTA blog and classroom level blog for all teachers.

  • We also use the blog to promote special programs. Ie. Video club and district literacy model (Daily 5 and CAFÉ)

  • We are recommending that all schools in Dearborn set up a school blog to provide parents with information in an efficient and timely manner

  • It is also recommended that all teachers in Dearborn set up blog sites to provide information on classroom activities, curriculum and instruction, homework, and other areas.
