DEVELOPING MARKETING SCHOLARS GLOBALLY The mission of the Sheth Foundation is to support the academic scholarship, publications, education and research of tax-exempt, publicly-supported educational organizations, primarily focusing on the discipline of marketing, by providing support through grant awarding recipient organizations.

  3. The Founders Dr. Jagdish sheth and Madhu Sheth Professor Jagdish Sheth, the Charles H. Kellstadt Professor of Marketing at the Goizueta Business School of Emory University, is a marketing pioneer who has helped shape the study of consumer behavior and marketing theory throughout his 60-year academic career. In 1991, together with his wife Madhu, they started the Sheth Foundation to help future generations of marketing scholars and inspire innovation in marketing through grants and awards.

  4. Professor Jagdish N. Sheth FOUNDER | BOARD MEMBER SINCE 1991 • Current appointment: Charles H. Kellstadt Professor of Marketing in the Goizueta Business School of Emory University • Prior appointments: USC; UI, Columbia, and MIT • Fields of scholarly contributions: Consumer behavior, marketing theory, relationship marketing, competitive strategy and geopolitical analysis • Publications: More than 350 research papers and 30 books including The Rule of Three, Chindia Rising, Clients for Life, Firms of Endearment and his autobiography The Accidental Scholar • Industry & Academic Awards: 30+ awards from ACR, AMS, APA and all the top AMA awards including the Richard D. Irwin Distinguished Marketing Educator Award, the Charles Coolidge Parlin Award, the P.D. Converse Award for outstanding contributions to theory in marketing, and the William Wilkie Award for marketing for a better society.

  6. Grants Knowledge Creation Knowledge Dissemination Knowledge Recognition DEVELOPING MARKETING SCHOLARS GLOBALLY Grants from the Sheth Foundation typically fall into three major areas in support of the mission to advance marketing knowledge and thought leadership.

The Sheth Foundation Medal Knowledge Recognition The Sheth Foundation Medal for Exceptional Contribution to Society through Marketing Thought Leadership and Practice is a bi-annual award designed to recognize a thought leader who has made enduring and transformational contributions to (a) society through marketing scholarship and (b) marketing practice in the form of for-profit, not-for-profit, or governmental organizations. The award is comprised of a gold medal, a certificate of recognition, and a significant donation to a not-for-profit organization of the recipient’s choice. The award is presented at the annual conference of the professional association that nominated the recipient. Up to two nominations are invited every two years from the governing bodies of the following organizations: Academy of Marketing Science, Association for Consumer Research, Association for International Business, American Marketing Association, and INFORMS. The Sheth Foundation Medal for Exceptional Contribution to Society through Marketing Thought Leadership and Practice is a bi-annual award designed to recognize a marketing thought leader.
