  9. Course Description Book COURSE DESCRIPTION SAMPLE AND KEY Art 2 - Drawing and PaintingART020 Grades 9-12. Semester long. 0.5 Visual/Performing Arts credit. Prerequisite: Art 1. $20.00 lab fee. This class is designed for students to further explore drawing, painting and printmaking. They will learn how to create interesting and dynamic compositions through use of traditional media. This class will use Art history as a way to discover and understand what makes an artist. ●The first item in every description is the course name followed by the course number. ●Under the course title is italicized information including: • The grade level(s) at which the course may be taken • The length of the course and the number of credits it is worth • The prerequisite requirements [course(s) or conditions which must be completed or met before enrolling in this course] • Course fees ●Below the italicized information is the actual course description. Information provided will describe the content, operation and/or objectives of the course. Students may check with their counselor, other students and the teachers about specific details of operation and teacher expectations.

  15. Everyone Needs to Remember to Sign Up Wisely ●You will be held to your pre-registration selections. ●Remember that your elective and alternate selections may be on your final schedule so be willing to take the courses you choose. ●Read the descriptions of EVERY course you select!!

  16. Class Availability ● Class availability is contingent upon seat count

  17. A Heads Up About Honors ● Fill out the Honors English Request Form and turn it in to your English teacher by Wednesday, March 5th ● Students who request the Honors classwill NOT be able to switch out of the class in September. Even if you “forget” to do the summer homework

  19. Due Dates ●Enter course requests on- line before Wednesday, March 5th ●Scheduling form and Honors English form are due back to this classroom on Wednesday, March 5th
