  • Controls the telephone switchboard

  • Transfers calls from outside and within the hotel

  • Wake up calls

    • In some hotels, this is computer operated. PBX will set the wake up call, and a computer will ring the guestroom

  • May provide basic hotel information such as directions, address, etc.
