  1. Terry Parkway Learning Center March Newsletter The weather is starting to get warmer, please dress your child accordingly, no sandals. Our teachers are being evaluated for the final part of achieving their CDA. Our center is about to become a two star center shooting strait for a three, which means big tax credits for our parents and teachers. If you have not yet, please congratulate your teacher for completing their CDA. Breakfast is served at 8:00. At 9:00 our teachers take their children to do curriculum, please have your child here on time for them to get the whole learning experience. 11:00 starts lunches. Nap time is between 12:00 and 2:00. Snack is at 2:15. Daycare closes at 6:00. Children should be picked up promptly. A late charge applies to children picked up after 6:00. The first 15 minutes is $5 and $1 every minute after. PARKING We would like to remind parents to park sensibly, with regard for others and be extra careful when reversing in and out of the parking spaces. Please do not leave children in running cars at anytime for the safety of everyone. Please do not park in the drive way or grass next door.

CABBAGE SOUP 1 onion, minced 1 tsp. soy sauce ½ tablespoon butter 1 tablespoon olive oil 1 head Savory or green cabbage 2-3 cloves garlic, minced 4 cups brown stock Salt and pepper 1 tablespoon minced parsley Pork spare ribs ½ cup long grain rice, rinsed Lightly sauté the onion in olive oil and butter in a saucepan until translucent. Shred the cabbage and stir in. Add minced garlic. Make the brown stock and bring briefly to a boil. Add stock, soy sauce and spare ribs. Summer the soup at low heat setting for about 30 minutes or until ribs are tender, adding rinsed uncooked rice during last 12/14 minutes of cooking. Season to taste with salt and pepper.

STUDENT HELPERS OF THE MONTH The Butterfly Class-Aiva, Micah, Carmen, Talyn The Kitten Class-Khyla, Camren, Micah, Kemper The Bumble Bee Class-Alivia, Marissa, Cole, Jayla The Monkey Class-Myley, Ellena, Donovan, Melanie The Duck Class-Olivia, Michael, Braden, Taren REMINDERS: - There is no food brought from home, food for parties, etc must be store bought. - Please do not bring toys from home. - Make sure your child has closed in shoes. - Parents please be sure that if you are on CCA that you are signing and child in and out of finger scanner in office. - Any problems in your child’s class or need to have a conference with your child’s teacher, please contact office to make appointment. - Tuition is due every Monday. - Do not park in driveway or grass next door.
