  1. Visiting Places in and Around Surat Surat is the famous city of Gujarat state and the Western element of India. Surat is mostly admired for the Diamond cutting. It was throughout the Mughal rule that Surat was a major port for business and trading. It is positioned on the edge of River Tapi and is the much admired place for its diamond cutting, spices, and textiles. There are numerous places for a visit around Surat which can be covered through Surat excursion tour.
