  1. Reading “The Hungry Caterpillar.” Only Cash and Ava were really interested. Ava got up and counted the fruit on the book.

  2. Ethan and Cash found my masks that I laid out for Dramatic Play as soon as they came into the classroom. Ethan was running around making ‘sss’ sounds, while Cash was flapping his arms. The kids had fun with the masks and were still wearing them during circle time.

  3. The kids got interested in me pouring the dirt. Derek decided to help me put the bugs in the table. The kids playing and Ava using my magnifying glass to look at other things. Cash using the garden gloves in the table.

  4. Sean counted the blocks with Brittany and told her what the color of each block was. Ava meeting my learning objective and beading on five beads by herself.

  5. Ava met my learning objective and was able to paint and put the paper on the bubble wrap by herself. Derek decided to pain the table. Extending the art activity and letting the kids pop the bubble wrap with their feet.

  6. The kids were following Karla and finding the things that she asked for on the ceiling. Karla came up with the idea of extending the activity with the flash lights by having the colored shapes in front of the flash lights and having the kids see the color of the flash light change.
