  5. What flora are in thedeserts ? • Flora: Desertplantshavemanyadaptations to survive in a dryenviroment,they are good at findingwater. Theseedof someflowers can stay in thesandfor a long time untilthereisenough rain forthem to grow . In hotdesertsyou can findthisplants: Cactus, Creasotebrush, sagebrushand Ocotillo.

  6. What fauna are in thedeserts ? • Some animals that live in the hot desert are cold-blooded, like snakes, insects, and lizards. Mammals that live in the desert are usually small, such as the kangaroo rat and kit fox. Sometimes it's hard to survive in the desert.

  7. Climate • There is not much life in deserts because of the environmentalconditions. • Deserts are very dry places. It does not rain very often. • There is a big difference between the temperature during the day and at night. • During the day temperatures are very high. • They normally go above fifty degrees. • At night the temperature can fall to zero degrees.
