  3. Diagnosed? • 4 of the 9 criteria • 5 of 9 criteria present to be diagnosed.

  4. People? • 1%-2% of population are diagnosed, or show the symptoms.

  5. Treatment? • Antidepressants • Anti-anxiety • Social support • Hospitalization • Psychotherapy

  6. Function? • Struggle trying to function. • Constant paranoia. • Suicidal thoughts.

  7. Prognosis? • Depends on the mood swings, and depression. • Stress makes symptoms worse.

  8. Famous? • NFL Player Brandon Marshall • Author Susanna Kaysen • Psychologist Marsha Linehan • Possibility Joan Crawford may have it.

  9. Support? • May is Borderline Personality Disorder Awareness Month, as declared by the US House of Representatives.

  10. Significance? • Most significant thing I learned was that May is the awareness month.
