MINISTRY OF ECONOMY AND COMMERCEPRESSURE EQUIPMENT DIRECTIVE IN ROMANIA Implementing Measures conducted by MEC (2)SEMINARS + GUIDELINES + SITE MEC • MEC promoted and coordinated the issue of the Romanian version of the “BLUE GUIDE” in 2004 • MEC issued a Brochure with approximated acquis in the manufacturing sectors, including pressure sector • MEC organized seminars and round tables, starting with 2001, quarterly • Technical assistance program PSO “Implementation of PED in Romania” 2002 - 2004 • MEC promoted and coordinated the issue of the Romanian version of the Guidelines elaborated in Working Group Pressure of CE in 2004, to be updated in 2005 • MEC promoted and coordinated the issue of a practical guide to the implementation for the GD 584/2004 transposing PED • MEC proposed a Study to assess the capacity of industry to operate in the pressure equipment sector • Periodically updating of the site www.minind.rowith all relevant information http://www.minind.ro/domenii_sectoare/index4.html Bratislava

MINISTRY OF ECONOMY AND COMMERCE PRESSURE EQUIPMENT DIRECTIVE IN ROMANIA PED - strong industrial representation R&D organizations - over 20 Manufacturers – 30 large manufacturers and assemblers Users – over 50 large companies (chemistry, petro – chemistry, pharmaceuticals) Certifications by Romanian certification body 80 certificates on PED. ~ 35 certificates Module G , - 2 certificates Module H, ~ others, combinations of Modules B+D or B+F. MINISTRY OF ECONOMY AND COMMERCE PRESSURE EQUIPMENT DIRECTIVE IN ROMANIA SUPPORT FOR MANUFACTURERS – Government Decision 357/2004 + GD 2184/2004 • Governmental Support provided to the Program for raising competitiveness of industrial products, approved through Emergency Government Ordinance no.120/2002 and amended by Law no. 511/2003. • Implementation and certification of quality systems; environment management systems • Implementation and certification of management systems for: health and occupational safety ; social liability; food safety; information safety • Acquisition of endowments and /or designing facility flow of testing and metrological laboratories and, accreditation thereof • Product certification • Building up models, prototypes, new technologies based of R&D results • Comparative analyses in order to elaborate restructuring – development – viability plans, monitoring thereof. • Registration and protection of marks, designs and industrial models of foreign markets, • Organization of showrooms inside company in order to present and promote Romanian products • Budget co-financing up to 50% (50%, 30 % 45%) Implementing Measures conducted by MEC (3)Program for Raising Competitiveness of Industrial Products Bratislava
